BASC is a charitable organization dedicated to the nurture and promotion of Bengali and Indian culture, language, and religion for the Southern California community through educational, religious, and charitable activities.
Bengali Association of Southern California (BASC) is a US non-profit organization (Tax ID 95-3568482) dedicated to nurturing and promoting Bengali and Indian culture among Southern California residents. BASC runs two Bengali schools - Pathbhaban in San Fernando Valley area and Pathsala in Irvine area. BASC publishes a periodic e-newsletter, Sambad Bichitra; and two literary magazines - Kheya for grown-ups and Ankur for the children. BASC also organizes many cultural, social, philanthropic and religious events throughtout the year.
