Labonee Mohanta will be presenting excerpts of a traditional Kathak solo. Ranging from an invocation to Ma Durga, an embodiment of creative feminine force, to fast-paced pieces employing high energy technique, she will be displaying strength and power complemented with grace and beauty intrinsic to Kathak dance. Labonee will also exhibit Pandit Chitresh Das' innovation of Kathak Yoga, a ground-breaking technique of singing, dancing, and playing an instrument at the same time.
