Bengali Association of Southern California (BASC) is (re)starting the publication of its newsletter in 2010.
BASC initially started a newsletter more than two decades back. At that time news was handwriten and photocopied. The news included local community news as well as interesting news from India and other parts of the world.
Today when most of us are connected to the web 24x7, there is no need for "News from Home". Instead we plan to focus on local community news for Bengalees of Southern California: Birth, Death, Marriage, Engagement, Achievements and so on. This is also a perfect forum for letting people know about upcoming events.
We plan to publish this newsletter once in two months. Please send emails tonewsletter@bascweb.org with your feedback or contribution. Editors have the option not to publish submitted news/articles or publish them at a later date.
