BASC is a charitable organization dedicated to the nurture and promotion of Bengali and Indian culture, language, and religion for the Southern California community through educational, religious, and charitable activities.

BASC hosted annual picnic on May 15, 2011 Sunday at Cypress Arnold Park.

There were sports and fun activites for kids, teens and adults; including 50 m race, spoon race, a jumper for kids (and some of the patrents), a no-limit-a-side soccer game between Kaku's and kids, ending with kids' and ladies' musical chair competitions.

Besides all these usual adda and plenty of food were there - Jaljeera, goat meat, Muri-makha and Chamcham were among hit items.
